Ask your MP to support science and protect R&D funding in the Budget - Step 1

At the end of October, the UK Government will outline its Budget, and we need your help to make sure Research and Development (R&D) remains at the heart of the political agenda.

Reports of budget changes that could reduce overall Government investment in R&D are very concerning. We urge the Government to commit to continuing to support R&D investment to drive high-skill sectors and allow for innovation to answer the questions of the future.

The Royal Society of Chemistry has joined the Campaign for Science and Engineering's cross-sector letter to Rachel Reeves MP calling for the Government not to undermine the long-term ability of R&D to contribute to economic growth and improve the lives of its citizens. Read the letter here.

You can support our campaign by writing to your local MP to highlight this issue and raise the general profile of science at Westminster.
