Ask your MP to support science in the spending review - Step 1

At the end of this month the UK Government will set out its spending plans for the next three years as part of its Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR), and we need your help to make sure the chemical sciences are front and centre.

The RSC is calling on government to use the CSR to set out how it will continue to support and develop R&D and the chemical sciences sector at this crucial moment, chiefly by:

  • providing long term certainty on research funding,
  • supporting excellent chemistry education,
  • enabling chemistry deep-tech SMEs to solve a range of problems, and
  • investing to improve our environment.

You can support our campaign by writing to your local MP to highlight these asks and help raise the profile of the chemical sciences at Westminster.

You can read the full Royal Society of Chemistry submission to the CSR online.

Simply fill in your name and details below, and you will be able to review a pre-written email to send directly to your MP. If you'd like, you can also personalise the email to include information about your own experiences and knowledge on this topic.
